The State-owned oil company in Mexico stated that it had been broken in the Gulf of Mexica’s undersea gas pipeline, sending boiling flames into the Gulf waters onto the surface.
Firecontrol boats had been dispatched by Petroleos Mexicanos to pump more water over the flames.
As known to the company, Pemex said that in a Ku-Maloob-Zaap offshore incident nobody was injured.
Fire broke out to the surface of the water during a gas pipeline leak in the Gulf of Mexico.
The company said that the leak was controlled.
On Friday (local) the leak took place approximately 150 m from a platform for boiling.
The company claimed about five hours later that it had brought the gas leak under control.
However, the accident gave rise to the strange view from beneath the Gulf of Mexico of boiling flame.
