First winner of Powerball
One winner was recognised as a grandma from Campbelltown and retired, while nothing of the second victor is known.
The Lott officials are not in touch with the second winner until now but both entries have been registered on player cards.
The huge jackpot was equally distributed among winners, leaving $40 million richer for each of them.
The number of players who won this night was 10, 17, 19, 21, 26, 31, 35 and the number 1 of Powerball.
Grandmother’s win’s ‘predicted’
The grandmother of Campbelltown was in awe as she told about her huge victory.
She told officials from the Lott, “I don’t believe it!”
Wow! Wow! I can’t imagine it. I can’t believe it.
“This week, my grandson told me ‘My grandmother is going to win the lottery,’ so I purchased a ticket.
“I’m a little gullible. I am in shock. I am in shock. I can’t imagine it. I can’t believe it.
“For a long time I was playing. But you don’t believe it’ll happen to you.”
The woman bought her ticket at Leppington Newsagency, where Pradeep Ahluwalia said he was excited about winning the ticket.
“It’s so fun, oh my gosh!” he said.
Second winner of Powerball
The second winner missed a telephone call of $40 million this night – however, it’s still a very long time to win.
The player purchased their entry from a NSW lottery outlet in the City Fairfield district.
The two new millionaires will be the fifth and sixth champions in one Powerball branch in 2021.
